A Great Thursday

A GREAT DAY AT FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH-THURSDAY

We were blessed last night at RECHARGE to have Dr. Hardage bringing the Bible Study.  An extra special treat was Price Griggs did a solo with his guitar.  Price is in the eleventh grade at the local high school and a very faithful Christian follower.  He did a super job and it is always great to see the students sharing their talent with others.

Today, Parents Day Out begins at 9:00 a. m.  On Tuesday and Thursday parents bring the preschoolers to FBC for a day of Christian teaching, fun, and fellowship.  The ROC is busy with all types of activities and tonight there will be Upward Basketball Practice.  At 5:00 p. m. the bus rolls out to take Adults 60  Plus to A J’s Fish Restaurant for a night out.

Tomorrow Super Start for fourth and fifth grade students will be held in Arlington with plenty of great activities of Bible Study, good food, skating, and plenty of fun.  Please pray for Brit Fisher and the other chaperones as they work and help these students in Christian discipleship.

Sunday (2/3) will be a big day at FBC.  Starting Point Class for adults and families will be held on beginning at 9:45 a. m. and meeting in the Choir Suite.  You are invited to learn about the church’s purpose, ministries, history and ways you can be a part by joining us with this class.  Sign up by January 30 at ssfbc.org or in the church office.  Also, during the Bible Study Life Groups two different departments from different age groups will meet during the month of February.  This allows cross generations to meet, study and learn from each other.  The two departments will meet in room 109.

Next Sunday night (2/3) the church will host “BIG GAME SUNDAY” at the ROC beginning at 5:00 p. m.  There will be plenty of action for all ages.  Join us for a night of fellowship, food, games as we watch the BIG game on the BIG screen.  This is a great opportunity to invite your friends and neighbors to a special evening of fellowship and good times.  There will be NO evening service on this night because of the ministry event at the ROC.

Have a great day in your neighborhood!
