A GREAT DAY AT FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH-MONDAY
Today is Monday.  We hope everyone is enjoying the liquid sunshine that is coming down.  In July we will be praying for rain.  The church staff began the morning at 8:30 a. m. with staff meeting led by Tommy Johnston.  At 6:00 p. m. there will be a trip information meeting at the ROC for the fall trip to Boston and New England.  Also, there will be information for the 2020 trip to Germany and the passion play.  Tomorrow morning (2/12) the Widower’s Breakfast will begin at 8:00 a. m. in the Whataburger Restaurant.
Wednesday night (2/13) RECHARGE will begin at 6:15 p. m. in room 109 and Dr. Kent Pate will be here to lead the Bible Study.  The church family meal menu is: baked chicken; rice; fried okra, salad; roll; drink and dessert.  Wednesday night you are invited to enjoy a great evening of Bible Study, fellowship, good food and a place to be loved.
A SPECIAL NOTICE!  On Wednesday (2/13) at Christus Mother Francis-Sulphur Springs from noon to 1:30 p. m. there will be a “Healthy Heart” lunch and learn.  Dr. V. Ram Aligeti, MD, Cardiologist, will be the main speaker and it is a great opportunity for you and the community to learn about heart health and care.  There will be additional heart help and information provided at this meeting.
Saturday (2/16) will be a big day at the ROC.  At 4:00 p. m. the Upward Basketball Ceremony will be held for parents and participants.  At 6:00 p. m. the Fifth Grade Bash will be held.  This is a special outreach opportunity for all fifth graders in Hopkins County.
Set your calendar for Sunday night (2/24) at FBC.  At 6:00 p. m. the Rehoboth Baptist Association will have its annual Evangelism Rally in the Worship Center.  FBC Music Ministry will be in charge of the worship music.  Tom Fineout and the Adult Worship Choir will all be there to lead the music and worship time.
The statement that doctor’s like is: “AT YOUR AGE”.   Chronological age is not the most important factor in your life journey.  Your spiritual age is the most important.  How are you growing older as a follower of Christ.  You will spend eternity in Heaven as a follower of Christ and our chronological age is short compared to eternity.
Have a great day in your neighborhood!   Fred W. Lewis
