Fresh Power for a New Year

We are thankful for the worship services that the church family shared yesterday. Dr. Vang preached on “FRESH POWER FOR A NEW YEAR”. In the evening worship service there were three men ordained into the deacon ministry of FBC. The three men are: Carlos Amaya who is married to Jeananne and have a son named-Luke; Cori Hale who is married to Deana and have two children-Kolson and Abbi; Josh Williams who is married to Val-Ann and have one son- Jackson. Please pray for these men each day and sent some notes of encouragement.
Tomorrow morning (1/8) at 9:00 a. m. the Ladies’ Prayer Gathering will meet in the Conference Room. All ladies are invited to come and pray. At 8:00 a. m. the Widower’s Breakfast will be held in the Whataburger Resturant.

This Wednesday night (1/9) RECHARGE will begin at 6:15 p. m. in room 109. The Bible Study teacher will be Dr. Kent Pate who is the Director of the Rehoboth Baptist Association. The church family menu is: chicken strips; gravy, mac & cheese; green beans; rolls; drink and dessert. New Life Journey courses will begin this Wednesday night at 6:00 p. m. There are six different courses offered for all Christians to help develop their spiritual life and walk with the Lord.

CALLING ALL GRANDPARENTS AND GREAT GRANDPARENTS! On Friday (1/11/2019) there will be a special grandparenting conference called: “PASS THE LEGACY”. The guest speaker is Catherine Jacobs who is Founder and Executive Director of Pass the Legacy Ministry. The cost is $15.00 per person or $25.00 per couple. The conference includes a delicious meal and the conference will begin at 6:00 p. m.

Next Sunday (1/13) will be a big day at Sulphur Springs First Baptist Church. On Sunday morning the church family will begin the YES CAMPAIGN and have PICTURE DAY in your Bible Study Life Group. On Sunday evening worship service at 6:00 p. m. Dr. Vang will begin his sermon series again, “TELLING GOD’S STORY”. The emphasis will be the New Testament.
