Have a nice weekend.

A GREAT DAY AT FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH-THURSDAY
Last night Dr. Kent Pate did a super job in doing the Bible Study in RECHARGE.  We are blessed to have Kent and his wife, Belinda, at FBC.  Belinda just got out of the local hospital and we encourage you to pray for her.  The adult worship choir and instruments were practicing for Sunday night when the Rehoboth Baptist Association will hold its annual Evangelism Rally.
Today Parent’s Day Out began at 9:00 a. m.  At noon we were honored to have the Northeast Texas Livestock Association have their annual luncheon in Fellowship Hall.  This luncheon has been held at
FBC for over ten years.  There were members of FFA and 4-H Club here to help serve and clean up.  It was great to see these young leaders and they are our future leaders of America to come.  We have been blessed over the last few weeks to have this luncheon and the Band Solo and Ensemble Contest at FBC.  When you see these young high school leaders, you can be thankful for our American families, schools and community.  Our young Americans are really super fine young people.
The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering is being collected for home missions.  The FBC church goal is: $18,000.00.  This offering is used by the Southern Baptist Convention Home North American Mission Board to provide help and ministry in America.
Tomorrow the Men’s Coffee group will meet in room 108 beginning at 8:30 a. m.  All men are invited to attend this special time of fellowship and prayer.  This Sunday morning (2/24) Dr. Preben Vang will be preaching at the two worship services and his message is: “Attending Daniel’s School of Prayer” taken from Daniel 9:1-7 & 17-19.
MARK YOUR CALENDAR!  Next Wednesday night (2/27) for RECHARGE Anna Marie Edgemon will be speaking about her many mission trips to Nigeria and how FBC helped in a great way to further the Kingdom of God in this African country.
DO YOU LIKE TO TRAVEL AND HAVE CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP?   In October we will be taking a big trip to Boston and the north eastern part of the United States for a fall color trip.  It will include the history of Boston, two nights in Bar Harbor and a special visit to the first Baptist church established in America at Providence, Rhode Island.  Any person in the community or other places can go with the church family on these trips.  For information or a brochure concerning the trip please call the church office (903-885-0646) or come by the church office.
Have a great day in your neighborhood!   Fred W. Lewis
